i hear that some tuners are fine but the one i got reflashes the computer and changes the paramaters of things that you can change your self or have a custom tune made for you also pulling all the smog stuff

I know with the Suoerchips flashpaq it's saves your stock programming so you can re-install it at anytime not to mention free updates with it via their web page.

any smart dealer checks the last 10 or so flashes i guess you can do it more than 10 but this tuner leaves a footprint they call it

IDK. Unless they see it they can't prove anything though. Your word against theirs. Who is to say that it hadn't been to the some other shop and bee flashed. I know the last two times I have taken mine in they reset the computer.

Leaves a cookie, and voids any and all warranty if they so desire, most shops will be cool about it, I guess it depends on what broke...

Some people get away with it, others don't. I am the kind that they would call me on it and void my warranty, so my Dmax is bone stock.

Isn't a Dmax about 10K?

yeah i bought mine from the dealership with the programmer in it...sooo i just keep going there but my only issues have been a window regulator and a water pump....so no problems thus far...
