Newbie From the East Coast
« on: October 31, 2007, 09:58:43 AM »
Hi everybody,
Newbie here from the East coast. Connecticut to be exact. Yes we have lakes and rivers here to run our toys. Not many Jets around here, but popularity is slowly increasing. I also hang out on the other Jet sites as well. I just finished my ongoing 77 Nordic Bubble Deck project. The only thing I sent out was the engine block to be machinied and the seats for new upholstery. All assembly, rigging, wiring, pump rebuilding, custom parts(machining and TIG welding) and such were done by myself. It took me over 3 years and $$ too. It is starting to get cold in CT so I will be taking the engine and interior out of the boat this weekend and get ready for my winter upgrades which will include an 8-71/Bugcatcher with EFI. I am already gathering parts and started machining the plate for the fuel injectors. I will also be upgrading to an A stainless impeller as well. I hope to gain information and also contribute here too
You can see the build up on my site. Note the Jetboat tech page is 2 pages long.

Thanks Tcrush. I have a good friend who lives in Surprise,AZ. He has a Cheyene out there that he keeps at Parker in some camp ground with his Motorhome.
I also rigged his Cheyene.

Let me know when you're ready for that impeller. I'm not really too fond of the stainless when you can get a Mag. Bronze impeller for 1/3 the price...

Undone,
I know this is not the tech section. I do not want to run the B alum impeller there now when I do the blower set up. You are saying the mag broze ones are good. I am running an Ultimate Wear ring as well. Where is the best place to get the Mag broze impellers.
Thanks.
