Hi, new prospective jet boat owner here. I am trying to get info on a boat I am looking at. It's an unknown to me vintage eclipse custom boats 21ft open bow. It has a indmar 350 mated to a legend drive with a place diverter (I believe), severely weathered interior and paint (mainly on top of boat). I have never heard of eclipse custom boats, but the best I can tell they were around up until the early 2000s. The hull looks ok but have not crawled around in to check for soft floors or rotted stringers etc. Boat and trailer have set in a storage lot for about 10years, many of them uncovered since the cover appears to have disintegrated. The owner tells me the motor is new but seems that it is unlikely to be able to fire it up or go for a test ride. The layout is really cool and it could be/was a really cool boat it just needs a lot of work. What is the going rate for project boat that needs lots of work and is not presently running? Thanks for all the help in advance, hope to be able to work a deal on this boat and flood the board with newbie questions!
