ATTENTION LURKERS !
Before I give you the goods, I must bore you with sense less, brain dead, jibber jabber.
To my knowlege and in my opinion, in the great, late, days of Hot Boat magazine's on line forums were bursting with a resurgence of the classice jet/v-drive boat .
Tons of projects on the boards and EVERYONE was more than eager to help out in any way they could.
Among the help there were groups of people that would head out to the river/lakes and from there year after year the groups became more concentrated and freindships became deeper and deeper .
I was one of those suckers that dreamed of reliving my childhood and great times I used to have in my dads o/b metal green flake wreit (sp?) stinger with a big ass bitchin mural on the deck.
I wanted to join a group of people with a passion as deep as mine and create the same and better memories as my dad and my family did with me.
So I bought my first boat because it was so "turn key" and of course before I knew it the interior was coming out and the motor was being torn down.
I was turned onto HB through a friend whom had just heard of it but was not a member and all he knew was there was a bunch of folks that could help me out .
Just in going through the threads almost all my questions were answered and I ran across a gathering that was being put together for a second time .
The Freeboard Challenge!
How fockin cool is that!
I didnt care, I was going to drag my pile out there and see it all for myself.
A good freind of mine had just finished restoring his Roger's so we were pumped and ready to go and for the life of me , I cant remember who it was that was guiding me with directions to a place I'd never heard of.
Fast forward, I'm driving out to Big River RV Park with turbo350r dragging his trailer, we set up camp, and even at this point, I couldnt believe there were this many other people crazier about this shit than I was.
WAY CRAZIER !
That was the first time I would run into some people whom would later on make an impression on me I could not shake.
As I walked from one end of the beach to the other with my disposable camera in one hand and a beer in the other and a killer buzz rattling my head I said to myself, " self... this is what you want to do for the rest of your life!"
The freinds I've made from that point forward are above and beyond any you could dream of (most of them anyways).
Anyways, thats my story and I'm stickin to it.
Now here are the crappy pictures.

It really was a "Bitch Slappin Good Time!"
