I never had an issue with my throttle coming off the floor until I had my interior redone, guessing maybe they changed the location or previously it had something in it to keep the screw from stripping out. So I need some ideas on what I can do. I searched and saw someone suggested the snap toggles I bought them and the problem is when I drilled into the floor there is not enough room between the wood floor and the fiberglass of the bottom of the boat to get the snap toggle in all the way. I don't want to have to keep moving the location of the pedal every time it strips out.

Need pics of where and how you are trying to mount. That pic doesn't do a whole lot, nice looking boat though!

I think the better question is, how's your floor? Any rot?  I also used a fairly large coarse thread stainless screw's I think I have 3 or 4 screws in it

I have the same issue I fiber glassed a piece of ¾ marine ply to the floor and then used 1” screws and don’t use an impact cause its much and strip the holes.

What # screws are u using Maybe go with a thicker screw like the one I posted not sure what area u live in but I'm in West Covina u could take one as a sample to king bolt and grab 3/4 of them so u can install next time at the river.
