ok guys....i have heard a few people gripe about gas prices and because of it, they are going to make it.

Lets do the math.

From last year gas prices are up $1 per gallon (roughly)

That means youre only paying about $25-$30 more per fill up in your truck, and maybe an extra $20-$30 per fill up in your boat.

This is how I look at it. My truck gets 14mpg. It gets to parker on 3/4 of my 28? gallon tank. (lets say 20 gallons each way).

that means round trip im paying $40 more (Round trip) then I would last year.

In my boat I have two 15 gallon tanks. I MIGHT go through both of them through the weekend, maybe top them off saturday morning....so lets say I burn all 30 gallons. Thats only $30 more then I would have used compaired to last year (if i had a boat)

I know theres many other factors involved here, but with my logic, it makes it easier to swallow (pun intended) the current gas price hikes. I really hate to hear that $70 more in gas for the weekend makes or breaks this trip for so many people.

My philosophy is I can burn my gas at Lake Elsinore  OR  at the river.  Either way I'm gonna boat.

For me it's not so much the gas prices , it's all the other financial shit going on in my life at this point in time.
