Both of my kids have had extended stays in ICU there, and with Momma being an RN we trade off staying round the clock. It makes life easier for patient and staff, but accommodations for family is not good. Although I think if you are dealing with Oncology, better arrangements for family are available somewhere. But the food is beyond bland and boring being as how the entire town in SDA. No salt, no pepper, no caffeine, no alcohol. True story, not a single bar or liquor store in the whole town.
Bottom line is I hate to see people hurting, and it isn't often I can really identify with what they are going through. This time I can hits pretty close to home for me.
