Havasu Trip Pics
«

The trip was pretty fun and uneventful (in a good way) for most of us. ryanbrindle broke down (threw a rod
) before he made it to the sand bar, but found out it was only lake weed in his pump
...dont ask me, I couldnt understand him cuz the phone kept breaking up.
Warlock and friends along with blesh/klesh lagged. Warlock didnt make it up until after 1pm....and did nothing but bitch about the traffic on the river on the way up....this is what it looked like when we rolled up and got there....we had the place to ourselves....

Great pic's. We made it to the lake on Saturday but stayed in a cove near Black Meadow. By mid day I had a killer headache and couldn't enjoy it.
So we got up and ran the river before leaving Sunday.
Didn't get many Pic's but if anything good comes out I'll get it posted soon.

well here is the story on what happened with me. i was cruising across the lake going to the sandbar and hit a nice stretch of flat water near the mouth of the river. what else was i to do than to open the thing up a little. a little after i hit 5k rpm the whole engine started running funny so i shut it down. when i went to restart it the thing sounded like a rod was slapping around. so we drifted for a while then dropped the anchor and drank beers for about 3 or 4 hours. after all that time i got tired of sitting there so i decided to fire it up and see how far we could make it back before the engine came completly apart and wouldnt run anymore. when i fired it up there was no knock so we made a dash for it back to the ramp. during our dash for the ramp the boat wanted to hook a hard left the whole time and i was taking it up to 3k to 4k and the boat was hardly moving. i think its time for a pump rebuild or something like that. and thats the story of why i didnt make it to the sandbar.

How do the prop boats navigate in the 6 inch water? So different from our hookups. Does the water get pretty dirty with all the splashing around? I guess yall dont have to worry with the drunk idiots drowning!
