Isn't it for the torque of the motor. Kinda of a counterbalance. They each hold on opposite don't they.

Here's a thread from last year about them.

Hot Boat - May 2007, had a good article on dual jets. It featured Harold and some of the boats that were converted to dual jets.
It talked about how they accelerated alot harder and cruised at lower RPM's. It didn't help top speed at all.

There was a company called Trident boats that made a 29' deck boat with the dual jet option. It accelerated quicker than everything else that size, but would top out at about 70mph.

thanks for the info trollerdave I'm still basically new to the jet world driving one for about 14yrs but as far as knowledge on what to do to them as far as performance wow so much to learn and looking at that thread I'm way behind on that vid but I had to ask even if it was kind of a dumb question. I've had my jet for 7yrs now and since I came here to Scjb I'm lovin all the threads. Thanks for the info brother I appreciate it

The article was great. It talked about the process Harold went through putting it all together, featured a few dual jet boat (including that one in the video, i think) and the pros and cons of it. Real interesting if you get a chance to read it.

trust me I will that's my reading material for bed to tonight I try to read something about boats every night and read different posts during the day helps me sleep better😃I just wanna learn as much as possible I don't know if you saw my post of the kachina that is gonna be possibly be my project or not. I have always loved the 18ft hot rod jets and no I might get the chance to build one
