Sorry im not a Vegas peep, but the story could be true seeing how they go by the population.......

yes this is true...i used to live on the hump to parhump so i was actually allowed to use parhump because i was exactly in the middle of vegas and parhump...smog exempt in all counties except clark county...however this was like 5 years ago im not sure if anything has changed...but you can get a po box and try it, what is your issue for smog anyway i know a guy that "passed" my silverado cost me 60 bones though, and with gas prices and a paying for a p.o. box i think the 60 bucks here in town was worth it...

Smog in CA isn't easy to get around. They even weigh the drive wheels during smog, so you need to find a stock version of your car or you're sol. I used to get the duster done before it went exempt many many years ago, my guy who did it says there is no way he could do it today and not get cought.

On the new machines there is a camera hookup - won't be long before the state starts using that....

Sounds like a NV po box farm would be where it's at :-)

SMOG sucks, I don't care what state you're in, I was a SMOG tech in the mid-90's, told them to shove-it, brought too much heartache to people, besides its much more fun to try to get "around" it than to comply. Here's a story for you, I rebuilt a motor in a Ford F250 (460 PFI 1997) and drove it for about 6 weeks and had about 1300 mile on it, brought it to the SMOG inspectors and they failed it because it ran "cleaner" than projected ??? I literally had to take it home and retard the fuel injection timing (done with the distributor if you can believe that crap) to get it to pass, when I told the tech what I had to do, he just laughed hysterically and shook his head.

What a bunch of BS, I think we are all doomed to be controlled by flippin morons :banghead:
