not sure if anyone actually came out and said it was a throttle issue, or a driver is a moron issue.  either way the damage doesnt look TOO bad.

Imagine if that was at launch ramp 6 in havasu....

I didn't see a trailer...

they put the boat in the water, looks like dude went to back up... throttle pegs and he goes full blast into reverse then he shoves it into forward and beaches it up the ramp.  id like to say "oh just turn the motor off" but who knows if you could react fast enough.  the whole thing happens in a matter of seconds.

I had a similar situation happen when I was about 13. In a 14ft aluminum with an older 25hp. Motor stuck in wide open throttle... Never once crossed my mind to shut the motor off. Instead I bounced off the dock, a sailboat and motor went swimming... Bummer for that guy for sure, but good on him for not trying to be a hero about saving the boat and risking other peoples lives...
