Here is that same guy but running over 300mph with a flathead. An old friend of ours, Mike Landy helped out with the engine along with his brother Dick Landy.

 I saw that car with the "flathead" in it, and with the 2.2L Eco Tec GM in it as well. I'm impressed with the technology that enables a 4 banger to hit those speeds, too bad Ron Main is such an asshole.

Never met the man. Only knew the engine builders and a crew member. Mike Landy had a head injury a few years back and hasnt been the same since and Dick Landy RIP.

Dick Landy was an awesome person, he was always at the cutting edge of making shit go fast, without the use of fuel additives, blowers etc. That big cigar of his ought to be trademarked. His altered wheelbase cars were amazingly simple, yet unforgivingly stout.

Loved those old Mopers with the wheels moved up to the doors and the front bumper. Now those were FUNNY cars, or I think they were called AA/FX cars then.
