that tundra is nice i have always wanted a runner someday boost no that boat is getting stripped soon and redone that's how his wife wants it she wants it all the way....anyway the real reason i came to vent i went to go out and start my truck this morning because it's a diesel damn thing takes forever to warm up and someone tried stealing the fucker last night decided they couldn't steal it so stole the god damn stereo and my fuc*ing cds like a 100 damn cds i know it was a bunch of amatures never looked in the ashtray could of had some money they had to know there was an amp in it from stealing the stereo didn't touch that im so mad i fuc*ing called into work i cant believe it they tried to steal the edge programmer too oh im so pissed i work my ass off to have nice things and some punk ass decides to steal my stuff

it's still dark so i can't even tell how they got in but they broke off the little plastic cover that goes over they key hole on the ignition i know that much i'll be calling the cops when the sun comes up so they can take a look at it they won't do anything but add another burglery to the list in my neighborhood damn im pissed my old truck there was many nights i would come home a little gassed up and not even lock my truck and for some reason last i decided to go out and see if my truck was locked and it was WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

4 wheel disc brakes,hydra boost brake system,Dana 44's frt and rear, Locker rear,posi frt, 35" tires,
Cummins 4cyl turbo Diesel, NV 4500 tranny, Dana 300 transfer case, CV drive shafts, 31/2" intake and exhaust,P7100 style fuel pump,HX30 turbo, Intercooler off 96 dodge, 25 to 27 mpg intown, bout the same on hwy, Tows my boats just fine!!! at 22MPG :o

on gps it was 55 but the motor was tired as hell and it's only a 350 i got something in the works on a 383 stroker full roller i aint selling it till i do 70 yea the main thing with it is the damn thing accelerates hard then there is no balls on the top end but all that will be changed i bought a jet boat too pretty sweet deal so now i need (want) a v-drive no outboards for me

Thanks for the link! I think for the time being I can live with what I have. That's a big boost but its also a good chunk of change. My travel trailer is only a 22 footer and the boats are like nothing back there.

I have bags in the rear so no payload loss, I dont haul crap in my truck just camp gear/ stuff like that. It's all carpeted in the bed (Bedrug) so I can sleep in there if I want. Lots of options on dropping truck, I could do a drop like mine w/ over load bags, PM me, or call 702 566-3940 or 374-8108. I put the bags on mine so I dont get hung up on a shitty ramp or something, I dont drive in the dirt or shitty roads. What size tires are you running?

ya you'll need to have some lo pro's to do a 4-6. i had 285's on 20's and wanted to do a 4-6 drop, but it was going to require bedside pulling and adjustmants to the inner fender in the front to keep full steering. i should have just went to a smaller tire but i wanted a smoother ride. so i dropped the rear 2" instead

I had 285-50s on mine, for sale by the way on Zinik rims, with leveling shackles, also for sale $45, and that worked great. I went to 275-45s with dropRubbed once a little in the rear, prolly trim inner fender or roll the edge inside. Good find Steve. I had a 96 new, 318, and once towed my pops bulldozer (TD4), much to his surprise, on it's trailer for 10 miles over hill and dale back in Pennsylvania with no real problem.
You should like that truck. And better mileage than my F350 gets, lol.

I had a 91 Dakota 4x4 with the 318 and it was the biggest fuel sucking beast I've ever driven. It was my work truck when I was commuting 120-250 miles a day and would have to fill it every day.
Good find, and as long as you're not driving the wheel off it should be good for a long time.

but they are in good spirits , just waiting for the ins check so they can rebuild their home again. Im sure they will get a grip but i still feel bad.......

Time to bump this one again. I'll go first. I am making progress on my fantasy tow rig. It was 1 year ago this month I started tearing down the first of the three trucks that went into this mashup. 2 weekends ago I got it safe and legal and out on the street for the first time! 8)
First picture is how it looks now - still rough and still 100's of things left to do. 2nd pic is where I'm headed with it. 4" drop on the rear, some slight fender mods, OEM 17 wheels and a 3" shorter nose job. Even though it looks like an old truck - under the skin it is a stock 96 GMC 1500 w/5.7, auto, air, cruise, tilt, airbags (the ones for your face), smog, blah blah.
Oh yeah and there's not a tow hitch in sight yet - but it's on the list!

Heres my Silverado again now with new wheels/tires and rear leveling shakles. slamming is on hold so I can finish the boat for the summer. Here it is last Saturday when I brought the Sanger home with new gel pre color sand and buff.

I know I I max my trailer out real quick and my gross is like 16,000lb and hopefully this winter I can build a dolly trailer and get the jet boat in the toy hauler. I had the Same chip on my truck and yes it shifts like shit, it'll toast your trans. I'd send it in and get it programmed. Mine was done and shifted like a dream. I had 420,xxx miles original motor I did do upgraded injectors, intake, exhaust, custom tunes, 4in lift on 37s ran like a rapped ape. I never hot rod it or drove hard and it never let me down.

I haven't even looked up the tow rating yet but it seems like it'd b low with the v6 even with turbos but I love how f150's ride, I've had em all, Chevy ford Dodge Ram and now Titan and ford rides best by far cause rear shocks r outside of frame. I guess I gotta go drive a few cause my Titan absolutely hates the boat lol
