Ideas for Trailer Paint
« on: April 12, 2007, 12:24:13 PM »
Hello All,

I am in the process of repainting my battle scared tandem axle trailer.  Does anyone have some cost affective ideas on what paint /primer to use. I do have a compressor and could pick up a gun or should I just bring it to someone like Macco?

                               Thanks,   Gary

You can take it to Maaco or you can refer to your other paint thread.  I have done my trailer with a rattle can and it looks good.

I had mine power coated. Cost was about the same as paint and it will last forever.

Obviously it would depend on the shop doing the work, but how about a ballpark figure there Wild Thang? Thanks.

i will have to look tomorrow. i think it is called armor. my friend just had his frame to his monte carlo done and it was right at 300$ and it took them a week. a trailer is just about the same thing. so i dont see it costing much more than that. i will stop by there tomorrow after work.

It was $800 and I had to take it apart and rewire it myself. Slid the boat less motor onto a stand I made out of 2X4s and put it on a car trailer. I?m happy with it. The place is up here in the VC but I?m sure there are lots of places.
