Indoor Kart Racing...
« on: September 16, 2008, 12:44:09 PM »
I've wanted to go indoor kart racing for a while now and haven't made the time.

Now my wife wants to go for her B-Day, so...

Has anyone been to K1 in Ontario or Pole Position in Corona?

Or another around SoCal?

Maybe we could make it an unofficial SCJB non-boat gathering  ;D

We go 2 or 3 times a year. Its a blast. Carlsbad has a K 1 Speed. If you decide to put a SCJB race day on, count Vance and me in.

Ive been to dromo1 in orange and it was rad. Ive also been to K1 in Irvine. I prefer the dromo1 because their gas powered. But the K1 electric carts seem just as quick.

I have been to K1 Irvine and Dromo 1 in Orange. Both are a blast. I think K1 might be a little faster, but Dromo carts have more feel to them. You can feel the throttle, not just on or off like the electric carts. There's also a place off the 405, I wanna say around Carson but not sure. Its on the right going north bound kinda by where the Goodyear Blimp is parked. I heard they have multiple tracks and multi-story tracks. I have not been there myself. Anyone have any experience with this place?

Didn't really get any pics worth posting, But I am hooked.  ;D

Pole Position in Corona is doing a weekly racing series starting this Sunday at 5:30pm.  Its an 8 week series running from 10/12 and going through 11/30.  If you pay in advance ($260.00) you save a $100.00 off the pay as you go price.

I was told that they are running the same series at the Murrieta location, with the top drivers from each location compeating at the end.

If anyone has the free time and some extra $$$, come on out.
