Laborday weekend wrap up
« on: September 06, 2011, 09:16:08 PM »
Well we decided to do something different and head down to martinez with Marc and Jen. So we made the 7.5 hour treck pulling the boat down to his place. Got there at like 1am and hit the bar running. lol.

Friday morning we go to get on the lake and my boat has a bad engine block water pressure sensor. So i pull it back out and take it to the shop. Friday day was shot. no way he could finish it on friday. So i got a hold of some old marine buddies since i was stationed in yuma i still know some people. lol. ended up wasted at the titty bar. great night with old friends.

Sat morning i wake up and get a hold of Yuma Marine. The mechanic says they close at noon but he will stay there till he fixes my boat. So he changed the water pump first. this did not fix the problem so then he fixed the cheaper sensor. Not sure why he did not try that first. anyway F it. The boat is fixed and i am out 400$.

So sat we get on the water at around 4. cruse around looking for marc since he was already on the water. did not find him all day. So when nightfall came and people started clearing out. Marc was parked a few boats down from me. lol. we hung out for a few more hours and got off the water around 10pm. then hit thebar again.

Sunday more of the same. Lounged out on the lake till about 8 then came back to drink at marcs place till about 11. then we hit the bar.. great place great times.

monday woke up around 8am and left marcs place. got home around 430. I still dont feel right... lol. hoping to recover bythis weekend.

We also made a trip to Yuma for Saturday.  We launched at Squaw Lake and headed up to the Picacho area, grabbed a sand bar and hung out with Jared and Kelly.

I'm looking forward to another trip to Yuma to explore the lakes in the area.

From Redlands it was just over 3.5 hours taking I10, 86S, 8.  Which for me, is almost exactly what it takes to get to the Parker Strip.

I will be visiting the Yuma area again soon

Depending on traffic you'd be looking at 4 to 4.5.

Well Friday on our way back in at dusk my friend got pulled over for not having lights. It took about a hour for the cop to finish his ticket and safety inspection. In the mean time another and myself were in the boat getting chewed the fu@k up by mosquitoes. Here is a couple pics of my feet and legs.
