Hey there Vegas members, my step son and his wife & kids are looking at moving to Vegas. They will be looking for work there, he has lots of experience in heavy equipment, construction (grid ceilings, framing, finishing, building docks, patios etc.) but he is really awesome with iron (welding). His wife has been working two jobs in the hospitality industry here. So if any of you know where they can find something in those fields, let me know.
Thanks!!!

Having just left Las Vegas, I can tell you this, the construction industry on a whole is in the shitter. With places like City Center and Fontaine Bleau opening up later this year hospitality jobs can be had.  Tell them good luck, I'm hoping it picks back up so I can leave this damn state before it kills me

The City Center Project is hiring 12000 Workers. The problem is that she would need to apply and interview NOW(which they are doing). but most of the positions wont start until around September.

As far as Construction goes....Good Luck! We have so many workers that are laid off its not even funny, and as City Center wraps up there will be even more. If the Boyd Gaming project would get going again (Was put on hold a year into construction) it would be helpful but dont count on that anytime some!

Hey two6dogg here. Jobs are hard to find all over vegas, if I had something I would let you know, I myself have not been working since November 5th. I am a certified welder/Machinist/Production Mechanic. But that doesnt mean he wont be able to find work. If you need any info that you think I might be able to help you with just E-mail me. I know hospitality industry seems to do pretty good, She should try filling out an application for city center. They had a huge job announcement a couple of weeks ago. They needed to fill a bunch of positions.
