The one you want is a Comp, you could probably get away with the Sport for a weekend Warrior, but I find the Comp way more comfortable and you can step it up later.... The Sport is a typical Poker run type deal, the Comp is a full on race jacket.. I just talked to them a few weeks ago, they have some good used Comps right now (or did). They come fully certified and ready to roll..

The one piece of advice I can offer is that a Lifeline vest does not satisfy the USCG requirement for the river Sheriffs. Just keep that in mind. You will have to have a USCG vest on board....

My Comp is 24 years old, still as nice as the day it was bought, needs to be re-certified again, but the point is, they last if you keep them clean and dry...

I recently bought the Teague Marine Poker Run jacket. Bob was standing there, walked over and sized me up with the correct fit. Explained if I lose a limb this jacket isn't coming off and you'll float face up.

Trying on the new ones I found the poker run jacket more comfortable, the comp jackets have solid not so flexible plates, basically more protection if your chest hits the steering wheel hard on the way out.

I thought he was kidding when he told me not to get it wet. Told it won't fit the same after.
