March Meet anyone??

My buddy is heading out to Bakersfield this weekend to test for the March Meet.
Tow rig.....newer black dodge extended cab 4x4/ white tag trailer / Colorado plates.
Car FED blown injected sbc running in NE 1 the 7.60 class.Here's a pic. The long haired redneck in the back ground is ME!!! Stop by and say hi ta Kelly. He's a jet boater also!!

YA WE WILL BE OUT THERE LOOKS TO BE ONE HELL OF A WEEKEND 33 FUNNY CARS ARE ENTERED. WE ARE EXPECTING TO DO PRETTY WELL OUT THERE AFTER RUNNING A 6.01 @ 232 AND IF WE CAN RUN THOSE KINDA NUMBERS ALL WEEKEND LONG WE HAVE A GOOD CHANCE.

Update....

Sat 1 st pass Blows the pinion gear out the frt of the 9", bends the motor mounts 2in. , trashes his
   newly painted cowl, rpm's the motor , checks valve adj and spring pressure they
   have not moved. good! He finds a guy with a spare center section in Victorville. Off
   he goes to get it.
Sun. 1st pass 1.09 60' on rear wheels about 1/2 track 2 valve heads depart valve stem, ugliness
   happens. The guy who loaned him the center section has him come over to his place
   in Victorville to work on his junk. New set of cyl heads, 2 new pistons , hone the
   block to get some of the high spots off the cyls, this was last I heard. This guy in
   Victorville is into boats also. Blown fuel, and a twin turbo BBC jet boat. People like him
   are the salt of the earth. Yep!! Kelly will have it ready for the March Meet.

The car that Coors Heavy is with is in the #2 Spot after one round of qualifing. Good job!!!

Hotrod56 The pisano & matsubara funny car is the one that coors heavy is with. Jeff Uttersback is the driver.He has a colum over on dragracingonline.com.
My buddy Kelly runs in Nostalga eliminator 1 a 7.60 index class. Yep Kellys sbc is 377ci 23 deg iron heads it makes some poop!!! A best of low 7.30's at 191 at 5600ft. Our goal for this year is a 6.99 at over 200mph. we ran out of fuel pump last year.

Thank you! When the valve heads came off they really tore up the cyls. He replaced the heads, pistons,rings. The gouges in the clys were too bad and messed up the rings at the hit. He lifted and called it a weekend. he only got 2 qualifiers to make the field.

PS..lucky , if he had 3 tries for qualifing he coulda thown in a stock short block with some tweeks and help from you in it and tried again. Thanx for the offer.

WELL I COULD HAVE BEEN WORSE. WE QUALIFIED 3RD AFTER 3 ROUNDS OF QUALIFING FIRST ROUND RAN A 6.00 @ 234 MPH RIGHT OUT OF THE BOX. SECOND ROUND WENT OUT AND SHOOK REAL BAD WE FIGURED OUT WE LOST THE BLOWER NO PSI ON THE BOOST GAUGE SO WHEN IT IS LOW ON POWER THESE CARS SHAKE. SO MISSED THE THIRD ROUND OF QUALIFING PUTTING ON A NEW BLOWER. SUNDDAY MORNING WE HAD FIRST ROUND OF ELIMINATIONS AND THE CAR WENT OUT ABOUT HALF TRACK AND HE SHUT IT OFF THE FREAKIN OIL LINE RUNNING TO THE OIL PRESURE GAUGE IN THE COCKPIT CAME OFF. AND AT 210 POUNDS OF OIL PRESSURE IT SOAKED THE DRIVER AND THE CAR. BUT DIDN'T HURT ANYTHING ALL WEEKEND SO ON TO VEGAS IN MAY.

YA OUR DRIVER JEFF WASN'T TO HAPPY WHEN HE GOT OUT. WE ARE GONNA CHANGE IT TO A HARD LINE INSTEAD OF FLEX LINE.

WHAT HAPPENES IS THE TEFLON STRIPS ON THE ROTORS WARE OUT AND THE BLOWER GETS LOOSE.
