may be redundant but?
« on: August 31, 2009, 09:08:58 PM »
Anyone up for a "mid cal" Jet boat outing at SA ? late Sept early Oct ?

posted this in a couple spots :
Spoke at Great length to San Antonio Lake resort Rep "Lisa" today , heres thier "Spin" The lake is at 38% and very usable and they wont be dropping the elevation/level anymore this boating season . Yes you have to watch out for low spots and obstacles as with any body of water (marked and unmarked)She stated the accident last week was a "marked bar" ? Both the SA North shore ramps are usable and the lake basically ends at at near road 1 to road 2 , I've been so busy this year I haven't had but a couple lake outings I'm still up for a Mid Sept to early Oct "weekender" unorganized unsponsored "individual outing" anyone interested post up or PM Tom

They're low here too, all over prolly. Took out a few underwater trees, not this past time, but the time before at Sag here in PHX, Mostly with the late Blue Meaney, a couple with the Moo and MANY more at Bartlett earlier in the summer. No damage, as yet, BUT waiting, it might happen. Universal problem methinks.

Sandbars, rocks do not scare me after hitting a tree just a foot underwater in a cove at 30 MPH, lol.

The Boat can be fixed if I FUBAR it, (Well, other than the extreme I've already done to one) But what are the odds of that happening to the same guy twice?

You did bang on some Oak or Maple when you wrote this right??     :screwy:

Back in the racing days I once said, "glad we got that out of the way, we wont do that again" right after spinning out the boat at over 80 MPH onto the rocks...the very next day....Guess what  :banghead:

Most of the places we go, we know where the hazards are.
When we go to a new place, we usually idle through it a couple of times and check it out.  At times we've tied milk jugs to trees and mark boulders too. So far in 37 years of boating the only thing i've hit  is a sandbar when I was 18 on the river below Walters. Maybe the big ones coming
