Need Diamond Plate
« on: June 21, 2007, 05:20:41 PM »
I just went to lowes to pick up some diamond plate and for a 24"x48" paper thin piece, it was $89  :o

Anyone suggest anywhere to get this stuff cheaper? I found it online for less, but dont want to pay the shipping charges, need somewhere local. Thickness doesnt matter since I am just dressing up the fender steps on the trailer.

Thanks.

I go to a place in Riverside that is great, they have a place in Irvine that i think is not to far from you.  There show room is very cool and the prices are good.

P.S.  Take plenty of extra cash because you'll find cool stuff you didn't realize you needed.

You better plan on taking a long lunch because you'll loose track of time wandering around the showroom  :o

I just got back.....i got a sheet twice the size for almost 1/2 the price then lowes was selling.

I got a sheet that appears to be about 4'x4' (15lbs) at $3.49/lb This was the single bar style. They also had the 5 bar and single bar embossed which is like a grough tiny grid on top of each bar. They advertised the embossed bar as the stuff thats on fire trucks. The embosed stuff was about a buck a pound more.

Thanks again to crewcheiff22 for letting me know about this place. Good thing I dont know how to weld or else that place would get me in trouble....lots of cool stuff.
