I was bored today at work so I set this up....

put a member map on here so people can map out where they are located...

Put your pin in your profile here: http://www.socaljetboats.com/index.php?action=profile;sa=forumProfile
Just scroll down to the bottom and zoom into your general area and click on the map. It will set a pin. You dont have to put the din directly where you live, but at least in the general area.

It's all google map based.

Man this map thing is cool!I pinpointed the point on the roof of My house on sattelite mode.I can see every thing in my back yard!
The only thing is it is a pretty old image.I have been there almost 3 years and there is a car on the side and one in the driveway that isnt ours,and none of My junk in the back(two boats and a 68 chevy truck,and the abv grnd pool that we sold is still there.
Is there any way to freshen up to a recent image?...Hal

HAHA....cool.....I have no control over the map, i just link a feed into this site from Google Maps. You can check it out here: http://maps.google.com

I have noticed some updates of some satellite images over the months lately in some area's. Maybe it will be updated eventually

Hey Brad, Are you sure your placement on the map is correct? When I lived in Foothill Ranch I remember that being commercial down there. From your pictures though I think I used to live in the same complex. Small world! My quess is that you live at Alton/Towne Centre

yeah, actually, where it is at is a huge dirt lot....thats the administrator profile, seems the pin for this name fell off.

i am neighbors with lynchlt3 and we live in sonterra.....how long ago did you live here? ive been here over 2 years.

I lived there shortley after they built the whole place about 98-99ish. When you pull in, gate on the right, all the way to the end.

You have to love those garages, for a single they are fricken huge. I remember putting 2 cars in there once, really tight but they fit.

I actually have 2 garages there...both are the larger ones....ones attached to the apartment and the other is a 1 1/2 car garage on the other side of the complex....When I was a VW junkie, I used to fit both of my vw rabbits in there side by side....tight fit, but they fit!

just click your spot on the map....it does save, it just doesnt show it in your settings....when you view the member map, it will show it.
