I was there...it was at Plowman state park in Texas which is just north of Lake Whitney. The guys name is Jimmy and he's from our neck of the woods just north of Dallas, TX at Lake Lavon. We had a "Hot Boat" event in October when this happened. Brent from PB magazine was there, nice guy.

Yes, he is lucky to be alive. He is using the engine we salvaged for him in his new ride, another TX19. His screen name is JYBTX19 and Here's the link:

I have a story for you...


When I first got in a whitewater race boat the butterflies felt like condors, the boats then topped out at about 85 MPH....

Fast forward about 15 years, the boats in the same class now go over 100 MPH and you belt yourself in....   Trade those condors for Boeing 767's.....

In about 1991 we went rock prospecting at about 80 MPH downriver....Lets just say nobody got hurt, but all the Fruit of the Loom guys needed to be decontaminated....

I think if running boats to their limits, no matter what the boat (heard a funny Addictor story the other day  ) your bound to experience a rectum challenge or two.

It's all about the preparation before the stuff hits the fan...Life jacket and sometimes a helmet are your best friends...

Just remember, that little voice in your head is ALWAYS right........
