That's awesome. As a kid my family camped there several times each year between Easter and Halloween... Always the group frowned upon and in trouble with the rangers and camp hosts..

Gotta tell one story that nobody cares about: Buddy of my dad's was getting hassled about drinking a beer with his feet rested on the curb of the boardwalk.. camp host and a ranger cruise up and ask him to remove his feet from the boardwalk and to move his beach chair back a couple feet.. not a minute went by and this guy was giving a speech about how he grew up in communist Russia and what his American citizenship meant to him. A small  crowd of passersby gathered, listened and applauded midway through the speech, and the ranger quietly walked away and the camp host followed.

(The guy had never been to Russia as far as I know.)
