I was out there all day Saturday........ The river was nice.... a little crowded at Havasu due to a two-day bass tourney. We were up by Moabi for a while on saturday then flew down the river for lunch at the Naked Turtle.

I managed to run out of gas again. I just dont think my boat is made for the lake. But it was a good trip. I need to get a GPS. And maybe a fuel gauge too.

I think you need bigger fuel tanks

I have two 9.5 gallon tanks now. The carbs suck gas like crazy. Especially when its glassy water on a monster lake like Havasu.

I was driving my friends Essex that runs a 502 with injection..... it was pretty good on fuel considering how fast we were running,,,,, I was running between 65 - 70 from Moabi to just past the sand bar and then from the no-wake zone to just past the river mouth......the fuel gauges didn't really move as much as I thought they would...... carbs are really hard on fuel.... then again jet-drives weren't designed for fuel  economy either.

Perfect on both. Had some clouds later in the afternoon and some cool lightning shows. The water was nice also. I wish i was going back out.
