actually the Outboards are tired and old and we are building a pod to mount beneath the boat in between the pontoons and install a jet as the powerplant for it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! How super cool will that be? I have a drake pump with a diverter on it. II should be able to shoot a roost from hellll!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yep! I wanted fast and loud she wanted BIG and stable. Well when i get the Big block under her with open headers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! She will be BIG ,loud, stable and will shoot a HUGE tail!!!!!! She runs 27mph with two 85hp outboards> What you think she will run with a BBC? she only drafts like 6" of water.

I know this sounds sac-religious but why dont you strap 2 merc cruiser 300 to it, wonder how fast it would be with 600hp on it?

Cost is the reason we are considering movig away from outboards. I can build a solid bbc cheap and I have the jet pump. I bet I coudl make it move pretty good though.... now stopping it? Ouch!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My buddy had a 54' Holiday Mansion house boat and it had a 4.3L V6 with a three stage Hamilton jetdrive, that was the smoothest quietest houseboat I had ever been on, 3200 RPM was about 15MPH, but liked fuel, cruised perfect at 2200 RPM and the Hamiltons back up awsome.

If memory serves he sold that boat 2 years ago for $177,000 with a slip at Holiday Harbor on Lake Shasta :banghead:

Have lots of pictures but i am trying to pick the ones that are ok for the site. This is one of the only County funded nudist areas that I am aware of in the entire US! It is a county park in Austin Texas. When the park rangers come through the park and wanna ask you a question or something you just walk up and talk to them and they have to carry on a conversation with you even though you are stark ass !
