It started as a Performance Boats gathering but they couldn't confirm enough rooms so we were invited to help with the count.

Not entirely correct Keith.

I had already been planning on the May SCJB trip for the Avi, but had not settled on a weekend yet. Tim (Futs) had wanted to get a avi gig together and scott jumped to the opportunity to start the event. Scott and I both PM'd eachother and decided to combine the 2 because he had already gotten the group rate set up at the Avi. Scott was the one to get in contact with the Mag for the coverage.

The majority of boats there were SCJB members. They even interviewed Scott and I simultaneously ....but not one mention of SCJB or myself. I get it, we (scjb) are indirect competitors with PB. I got my 5 min of fame.
