Pissed!
« on: April 02, 2007, 09:37:27 AM »
 >:(

so let me give you some history on this issue....

I live in an apartment complex that has been going through some changes....mainly a new security company.....and I have been getting calls from the front office about my registration on the trailer (which is in a driveway for my garage) for the rogers being expired. no big deal. I need to get it done anyways. So in a timely manner I got the trailer lights working (thanks rod) and got everything squared away. They were very appreciative that i was prompt about it and said everything was cleared.

Kyles boat (the wriedt) is upside down on a dolly in the garage and I paid for a covered parking spot just for his trailer while we get his done. I woke up this morning and it was gone. A Neighbor confirmed it got towed last night.

So I just talked to the leasing office and they said "go get it from the towing company, and bring us the receipt. if its a mistake, we will reimburse you"....i call bullshit.

I told them to have the trailer delivered back to my spot because this is not my mistake, its theirs, they declined.

So I called the tow company and they said that it was a complaint from another resident that it was parked in their spot. I confirmed the space number with the leasing office and called back the towing company and they said that was the spot they towed it from and the other resident proved it was their spot (how, i dont know)

The leasing office is going to get a bill from me for the following:

  • Time off work
  • Milage to and from the tow yard (13 miles each way)
  • Toll road charges to and from the tow yard
  • $265 impound fee from the towing company

mind you they close at 5....also i have to drive home to get the keys for the tounge lock.

boy, i love mondays.

They have to have a name of who filed the complaint! I would go and talk to the person who called it in also. That is such bullshit , good luck getting your money back.

Taco'd "a person or people that show up with one lake lice and a family of 50 and cram 3 people at a time on it with no disregard to boating rules or ethics. Usualy crap in toilets and throw shit paper in trash cans. Hang out at the boat ramp like its a swimming hole. Have zero insurance on anything they own and dont give two shits less about your property."

yeah, they have the name of the person who filed the complaint, but would not give it to me over the phone.

My lease is nearly up and this is going to be great leverage on negotiations. I have heard of several stories of the leasing office double selling garages and parking spots.

brad, it is your turn call the police and report it stolen, call ins. agent so paper work gets started for a new trailer. then really turn up the heat and say you saw a ad for a trailer for sale. call the police and say they the towing company recieved stolen merchindise, and you want to file charges. if it takes to long you will get a new trailer and the ins. will end up with old one O0 O0

devious idea, but it wouldnt work.

tow companys report their tow's to the cops....so if someone like myself think their car (or trailer in my case) is stolen, the cops have in the system that it was towed, by what company, and where its located. This assists from cops chasing their tails in a situation like this.

I got the trailer back.....turns out they towed it on saturday, not sunday.......the tow report only said "tow trailer from C103" and had a picture of it parked in my spot.....when i showed the tow guy a copy of my lease, he was embarrased and said its still not his problem, he just follows orders.....which is understandable......theres one more side of this story i need to hear and that is of the security company. I will be calling them shortly.

Also they didnt use a flat bed....so i dont know how they towed it with a lock that is on the tounge that covers the whole tounge. There doesnt appear to be any damage. its now chained to the pole. I know it doesnt make it untowable....but makes it just that much more of a pain in the ass and also expresses that the trailer belongs there and its just not some dude squattin on a free spot.

By the time i got the trailer and brought it back, the management had left for the day and the receptionist girl took a copy of the receipt and said that she would leave it on their desk.

...more later  >:(

...just spoke with the security company...they have no record of the tow on file.

 >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:(

I'm just worried that someone is gunna try to tow my shit again cuz they think thats their spot. I've got my window open and hopefully i will be able to hear the truck if it comes by. I dont have any view of the spot from my apartment tho.

hey  brad you need cameras set up so the first mutha that parks in the red zone to unload any thing gets a call to the man, and have speed dials set up on phones, go to police station to learn how to give a citizens ticket and submit it to court for attachment to driving records********** MR SCROOGE

Brad i would just take a trip to home depot and pick up a five pound box of shallow roofing nails and sprinkle
then all over the leasing office drive way then pay a visit to the towing co. trust me you will cost them alot more
money then they cost you.

If you want another suggestion go chain the leasing office agents car to a light pole and tell them when they pay your
tow and storage bill you will unlock the car and not until then.

i have done the first of the two. and my all time favorite was this i had some really rude neighbor hood kids that use to ride
those two stroke skate board scooters ( you know the ones that are louder then a open header boat ) well they use to ride all over my lawn because i lived on the corner lot and well they thought it was fun i guess or a short cut . So one day as I'm unloading my CR250R after riding with the guys the kids come zipping scross my lawn and their parents are outside and do nothing about it. So I swung my leg over my bike gave it one kick rode three doors down and right in front of the mom and pops I showed then my best impression of a CR250R / multi purpous ditch digger. It tore their effin lawn up so bad it actually had to have new sod put down. Ha Ha Ha

It was all real funny until the dad came running down to my place yelling and screaming at me. I just told the guy hey your kids do it to my place so why should i not do it to yours? Then i punched him right square in the grille.

What can i say I'm an ass hole like that. GIVE NONE <> TAKE NONE it's a good motto to live by.

I guess i am more passive then most of you....haha....

So I talked to the office again today and they said it was a misunderstanding of some sort.....there is a resident that has been parking in that spot for awhile and he thought it was his spot, but it never was. So though I have no idea who this guy is....the situation has been resolved. The check is in process to reemburse me for the tow fee's.

As far as the other fee's i was planning on charging them, I let them know that I was seriously inconvienenced and told them not to forget about it when my lease renewal comes up.

"Good news, we are going to get your tow fee's refunded, just go down to the tow place and get your refund"

mind you, its 15 miles away from my home  ::)

I'm gunna let 'em have it when my lease is up for renewal.  >:(
