Quite a surprise story today
« on: April 17, 2016, 06:21:58 PM »
So I bought this boat http://www.socaljetboats.com/boats/performance-jet-boat-1/ and I am very very happy with it. Ran into Jeff @whiskeytango777 and Dennis @d_capongi a few weeks ago and had a blast. The wife and I went out to our place this WE so she could finally see the boat. Fri/Sat was blown out but took the CP out this morning. Made a few passes and as I was pulling it on the trailer a gentleman was standing on the ramp and said "hey I got noise compliant that you were scaring the fish" "By the way do you know much about that boat?" I said not much but I love it so he introduced himself..."Oh by the way that the was my first CP in 1979, Hello my name is Bill Scotten" and handed me his card. Ironic and quite cool. Hardley anyone in the park and I just happened to be running the boat and he just happened to be there. Good stuff!

Being the driver of that boat this past Feb. at the ADBA Race at Bluewater, I can say that boat is a runner for sure! The short time I got to drive that boat, I really enjoyed it...the most responsive jet I've ever experienced! We tried to convince the previous owner to keep that thing...but he has 2 boats already and blah blah blah. We brought home a runner-up trophy in ME! Could have been a winner but it got blown out! We were sitting in the Final round waiting to see who our competition was when the wind hit. You got yourself a really nice piece there...and the motor is solid!
