Replacing floor in the 76 checkmate
« on: December 08, 2013, 01:41:57 PM »
Replacing the floor because the back of it was really soft and found
A an old beer holder that was glassed over
B a lot of expansion foam
C it was glued down with bondo on the bottom and the back

Gotta love it, I'll post more pics of how it is done right when I put it back together

Get rid of all the foam and insure it... I did a floor redo earlier this year on mine.

Mid project I found out the transom was also rotten :banghead:. So while I was contemplating whether I like that hull that much to replace the transom I bought a 94 Kachina 18' less motor and a full stringer hull instead of a Quarter stringer that I was working on

If its a jet boat...you don't need wood on your trans.
