Checking in on SCJB is like coming home after a weekend away

I'm the new owner of a Yamaha dirt bike and have been filling my brain with motorcycle information for the last week over on ThumperTalk. Cool site with tons of information to sort through, which brings me to the problem...

ThumperTalk stats: Threads: 843,031, Posts: 8,723,787, Members: 288,352

How in the world do you look through nearly 9 million posts or make friends when there is over 280,000 members?

I am glad this place is more like a community than a giant metropolis

Thanks Keith....I too like the vibe around here. Not too many people, but enough to keep ya coming back.

We're only at about 2,500 members....and on average, only about 7-8 new topics a day, 50-60 posts a day, and 10,000 page views a day.

yeah, these arent head turning numbers, but for what this place is, what my intentions of it were and what it is now....I must say I am proud to be a part of this community.

I rarely wait more than a few hours to check in. I am also a member on Thumpertalk and haven't seen any posts like you see here... where you ask a question and a member calls out another member to answer because he knows Ray, uh I mean they will be along. lol

I couldnt agree more with everyone...i frequent other forums but rarely post...just lurk...all my friends and all the help i need is right here...although it is a boating specific forum...we can ask almost anything and get an answer or solution...thank u brad
