I don't have any pictures and I can't figure out how to post pictures here anyhow but this old man is going to leave Corona, CA for a desert race in Nevada on a 1973 CZ motorcycle that I have been racing since 1975.  And then God willing, we are going to turn around and drive back home for a friends house party that I know will go all night long.

It seems that some things never change.    :screwy:    If'n any of you Vegas peeps feel like rolling out to Buffalo Bills in Primm the race goes off at 8:45.   We are pitting in a cherry red Mega Cab.  CZ and a Husky, numbers D12 and D22  big tall guy and a short round guy.

Goodluck John!!!

Finished first in class today.  Passed half of the faster class in front of me then fell.  Bike wouldn't start for a good 5 minutes.  Finally she cleans out and I passed all the same guys again.  Started 80th overall, second lap was 87th overall, third lap I ended up 82 OA.  26 miles of whoop de doo's on a bike built in 1973.  Good times.

Where was this?

Primm NV.   Pits are in Buffalo Bill's parking lot.    Totally different track than other years.  Instead of wide open desert it was lots of whoops and lots of turns.  More like an hour on a desert MX course.  We take the summer off and go to Anza in Sept.  Then Ridgecrest San Diego Gorman and Pala area.  Fun stuff I tell you what.

I can't believe it either! How long have you had it? If it's brand new, I wonder if Dave would buy it back or trade you for a ranger kit. Then consider it gone to the guy who doesn't know how to read a for sale post

id be scared as hell going all the way to catalina... im guessing it would take all of what... 25-30 minutes to get there if you were able to go at a decent speed with ocean conditions permitting?

follow the catalina xpress out there. Thats what we did the first time we went. Go early when the water is calm. Coming back is scary is hell if you come back to late. This is what we went in

My buddies dad made it out from Newport in a 14 foot aluminum with a 25hp Johnson and extra fuel... If you have a good swell/weather report you could do it easily, 26 miles each way.
Never hurts to have vessel assist though haha

My uncle and I have been out there and seen 18ft tri hulls and very small center consoles.

Yeah I can't believe it, kits brand new had it awhile. Decided to focus on toy at a time

As for the ocean and small boats no thank you. Went up the coast from Dana point in a 21 foot byliner back in the day. It's fun but in a older jet I'd be worried
