very nice man.  you do that work from home, or do you have a shop?

where do you get your materials?

ive worked at a cabinet shop for a few years....lots of little tricks of the trade.  pocket hole screws are very strong, for being a simple butt joint.  kreg make a nice jig for them along with the special drill bit needed.  glue is your friend, im told its all about the glue.  nice job man...

what finish will you be putting on them?

I really enjoyed it and my wife and daughter had a great time.  People who are disappointed are not taking it for what it is, a dinner play.  It is a little more Circus Vargas and not so much Universal Studios, granted that the production doesn't have the budget of the show at Treasure Island in LV.  Unfortunately no full-scale ships attacking each other in a large lagoon.  It is hard to compete with guys in real armor on the backs of 1,200 pound houses galloping at each other with lances, albeit prop weaponry.

The food was pretty good, but was not exactly on par with the price of admission, but when you factor in the cost of overhead, I didn't expect prime rib.  The entree was a roasted half chicken; a kabob skewer of steak, red & green bell peppers and onions; and a side of mashed potatos.  Dessert was a chocolate brownie cake and a scoop of vanilla ice cream.  Beer and cocktails were available in the bar before and during the pre-show and seating.

The service was excellent.  The performers were very friendly and stayed after for pictures.

Medieval Times is next, as soon as my bank account recovers.

All-in-all, we had a great time and a great experience.  And one more item checked off of my bucket list.

Cheers,

Joe

A fair review.

I've seen the absolute first show they performed. Took 2.5hrs. Very soft opening.... more like tech rehearsal.  Wasn't clear then to get a feeling for show. Since then I've gone several times, right up until they installed the dragon. Haven't seen this version..... live anyway....Thank you YouTube. The food was good when I went. Started with lobster bisk soup....that didn't last long... they gave us option of chicken or steak. Both were good. And apple cobbler with ice cream....Also good.

Medieval does have crazy deals right now. I can try to find a code for you. Should knock down the price enough to be able to swallow...Haha. as far as the strings....they could only be pulled during the week. Fridge, Saturday are off limits. BUT..... If you use code....you can go whenever you like.
Weapons are props....of sorts. The only thing missing to making them "real" is a sharpened edge. The rest is made to the standards of a sword Smith, nothing else holds up to the abuse. The sparks you see are not fake! Lances.....well....at some point we had to consider the safety of the knights...with real lances, we'd be hiring like crazy for knights.  Haha. Oh and Yes, ....horses are real. Lol....we actually get that question often.

In another thread, there was interest expressed in a SCJB meeting for pizza etc.  Would you all be down for a SCJB night at at Medieval Times?

Was at the Fred Hall show in LB today. This badass Nordic caught my eye... $80,000, they only got it to  72 mph, the rep claimed its having issues loading the pump, but only got 1 run to test before having to bring it to the show.

(i know this is old)

if enough people are willing to go....i may be able to work out a special rate.  we do have an area that can be curtained off, if a large enough group attends and you want privacy.  ill speak with marketing to see how many people it would take to get the better deal....
