I can't say enough about how sad I am to lose Mark.  He was the toughest competitor and a good friend.  I was in his last race and I was driving his old boat.  We all had a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner on the beach on Thursday night and Mark cooked two turkeys.  Good memories from that...

I just got off the phone with his Dad, Jerry and he asked me to post the information on the services for Mark.  The viewing and service will be held on Sunday, December 13 at the Evans-Brown Mortuary in Sun City, CA.  Viewing at 12:00 with the service at 3:00.  The address is: 27010 Encanto Dr, Sun City, CA.  Take the McCall exit off the 215 and it is in sight of the freeway.  All friends and racers welcome.

I know it would mean a lot to my family and Mark if we packed that place up with all of his racing family and friends.

Well, yesterday was Mark's service and keeping the circumstances in mind, it was a huge success. And I would personally like to thank everyone here for their continued support for us (especially for Kelsy and Kendyl).

I met a few people from the CJ racing community yesterday and wish that it was for another event like a race or something but unfortunately it was not I look back and am thinking to myself that it is easy to say Mark has touched a lot of people, which I know he did, but after walking up to the podium to support Kendyl during her eulogy and looking into the crowd, I think that a lot is a massive understatement.

I remember the day that all of us went to the mortuary to scope it out and we had asked what the capacity of the Chapel was. Justin (the gentleman we spoke to) quoted us ~200 with a little wiggle room for more. Well, there was quite a few people standing around in the back, outside, and along the walls. My mother, Kendyl, and myself were even sharing some seats.

The reason I am telling you this is because this is probably only a fraction of the people that Mark touched, and in turn touched Mark. And as Kendyl put it, he would have loved all the attention he was getting.

I am posting an image of Mark's rig that he drove. He wasnt only about high power boats, but someone from PRS was kind enough to show tribute by hooking up his piece of equipment and bringing down to the mortuary. He not only kicked ass in racing and bowling but also kicked assphalt.

Again, thank you all for your support over the weeks deep down from the bottom of my heart.

I really appreciate that Brad. People like you and the ones that come from other states for a Sunday service that take this to another level of gratitude. In all honesty, I think it turned out perfect just from the large amount of people that showed their respects for such a great man. Just like "Good" Mark said, there are no words that can describe who he was. All you had to do was spend 5 minutes with him to see what he was like.
