I can't believe that a handful of guys in a rubber boat can take over the largest tanker in the world with $100 million in crude and another tanker with frickin tanks and there is no protection for the ships. Spanish gallions at least had a few cannon on board. I've decided the best way to fight back is by doing what we know best. I want to propose to the navy a little bit of protection (and build my boat at the same time). Hell I can charge them Millions per unit and it would still be cheaper that chasing these guys with the entire fleet and then negotiating with them. Just put one of these with a couple of navy guys to operate it on each ship.

Tom , If those pirates saw a handfull of those coming at them , panic would set in  for sure . Not to mention the navy boys would probably foam at the mouth to get the go ahead to build them

They have Blackwater for security on land, so how about calling it Bluewater Security. SCJB members could pilot these for 200 grand a year. As long as it doesn't interfere with the race season.

OK I scaled it up a bit 60' twin turbines turning surface drives and a bit heavier fire power. 2-5" guns, 8 modified hell fires and two 30mm rapid fire cannons. if that won't stop em nothin will!!!

Looks like we know who should be running this operation! SoCalJetBoat members. I like the 200K a year too. But I would also like health insurance! And, where are the torpedo tubes? Need those for the project.

well since i am fresh out of the Navy i think that i should head up the SCJB.com Navy and make about 500K. i still have friends that work on F/A-18's and could get me a couple of the guns which are 20mm and they use exploding tip, depleted(sp) urainium rounds.
