Storage cover
« on: April 21, 2016, 05:30:07 AM »
Looking to have a fitted storage cover made. Boat is a 21' tunnel.

Don't need a tow cover but something to keep the dust off of it while it's in the garage.

Any recommendations in the Inland Empire SoCal area?

If you are cheap like me, Pep Boys sells a generic blue boat cover. They are 50 bucks or so and work surprisingly well.

I'm cheap when it comes to the wife, not so much with the boat lol.

Talked to him today. Fair price but their guy who does custom covers rolled his ankle getting off a boat so he's out of commission for a few weeks.

Talk about bad timing to get hurt. This is the boating world's Christmas season. lol

I'm going to call him back next week or the week after and see how he's doing.

After going to In Stitches in Havasu and being quoted $1,065 to over $1,600 for a non-towable cover, I went to Walmart and paid $65. Breathable and elastic bottom. Perfect for the garage or storage unit. I'll upgrade later, for now I've got bigger plans for that cash.

I should say In Stitches seems to do really nice work. Not bagging on them I just wasn't ready for that number right now.

I hear ya, 99 problems. Most everywhere ranges from $40-$45 per linear foot. They want another $10-$20 per sponson cut out too.

I don't tow with a cover, never liked to. Kind of rethinking this deal since I'm only using it for the storage unit at the river and my garage.

I'm going to check out the Walmart ones you guys are talking about.
