Survey Results
« on: February 24, 2010, 07:50:19 AM »
Here is the start of a few of the survey results...

The following information was taken from the following survey:
http://www.socaljetboats.com/the-no-wake-zone/scjb-survey/

How did you find out about SoCalJetBoats.com?

How many times a day do you check SoCalJetBoats.com?

How long have you been a member of SoCalJetBoats.com

Is SoCalJetBoats.com your primary online boating forum?

What other boating forums do you frequent on a regular basis?

What do you like about SoCalJetBoats.com?

  • Its a good place to find out what is going on in the world of comp jets
  • Great info and good people. Lots of folks always willing to help out.
  • The people
  • The information, classifieds and the banter.
  • Most of the poeple are highly knowledgable and seem to be pretty cool. Many of them are generous also and willing to help out a fellow boater. I love this site.
  • it is a local jet boat forum(socal). you can navigate the website with ease.
  • IT's just a buch of guys. Not run by adverts. All are interested in knowlege gathering
  • you can learn any thing about anything on this site
  • The people, not so clicky as PB
  • The Diversity of the members, and the professional advice from some very talented people. And the comraderie! Second to none!
  • i like the help you get when building or trying to build a boat or anything at that
  • I like that everyone tries to or at least helps each other out. I'm still just a newbie and don't post much, but the info I gain from here is awesome and very helpful. I can't wait to meet everyone.
  • I well say this.. You guys seem like a great group of guys !!!! and i am glad that i get to watch the banter that you have.. it is fun to see. If i ever get out there ( living in Ohio ) it is hard to get out there. but if i do I feel i will know all about you guys and could be freinds right away !!! LOL...
  • I like how easy the site is to navigate. Everyones very helpful and usually knowledgable. Sarcasm makes me feel like Im talking to buddys instead of computer generated answers like most forums.
  • The laid back attitude and personal feel, not a lot of nit picky rules and not a lot of poor attitudes. Also pertains mostly to jet powered boats.
  • Good info and have made some great friendships.
  • This was the first site I joined and its like home to me. Also the people here better at giving advice and not getting getting all upset if someone has a different opinion.
  • The feeling of community within the regular members.
  • Not much drama in the forums.
  • the people, the info, the comrodory (sp), the way anyone will help out anyone, it is more of a family than a website, thank you brad for creating and mainting it and allowing me to be a part of it!!!!
  • I love the fact that its a closer nit group than the rest of the forums and theres way less drama. and the fact that when we do an outting your not judged because your boat isn't the fastest or the nicest everyone is just glad to be boating and parting together.
  • The Comraderie and good people. I really feel like everyone on this site would help the next guy out if he needed it. Everyone knows how to have a good time too.
  • The brotherly love feeling the site puts out . very welcoming to all .
  • everyone is kick back and any drama is squashed by the moderators quickly
  • I like the help and knowlege that alot of people have on scjb.com. Plus the little get togethers that happen thru out the year
  • 1) The members don't swing their dicks as much as the guys on PB. 2) Motivational poster thread

What do you dislike about SoCalJetBoats.com?

  • sometimes it can be slow(not a lot of activity) aand I'mam part of that problem, because I don't post much. I think there are too many forums to look thru
  • members are slow to respond...
  • most of the scjb boaters boat in az and nv (azjetboat.com?)
  • Some of the negitivity that people have and the fact that some people think that they should get something free because they are members
  • not very many new posts
  • a little comberson and some times the listing are in the wrong place
  • [member name] posting novels in every single thread about god knows what like a stammering , babbling old decrepid ****... I mean really, what gives with that guy? Second - Some people feel they are allowed to jump in a thread and beraid someone because they are "old" and "grumpy" or what ever. Its a turn off to me and if I was a lurker , I would turn away.... I could go on all night...
  • The only thing that bugs me a little, is the couple of times, using [member name] and [member name] as an example, I thought they were dealt with a little harshly, not by you, but some members on the board. Something like that I felt like you should be handling. Hell the offended member or members could be pm,ing you about it, and let you handle it, not make it look like to the newbie that maybe there is a clique going on, or we are too snotty, etc. Hope I splained this right, and you are not offended
  • Reading through some of the past posts, there are a lot of unfinished topics or project threads. Would be cool to see the "finished product" on certain projects.
  • too much bogus repair info
  • hard to reply to a post
  • People with zero patience for the ones with less knowledge.
  • The talk about "Gayness" all the time...get tired o' that crap
  • Cliques
  • jerks only a couple
  • Closed mindedness
  • I'm from central CA and am kind of an outsider
  • sometime people get their panties in wad and take things personally. relax we are all here for the same thing
  • Unable to keep a female population coming back.
  • The sit is still slow for me and still frezes when I try to post (about half the time). This does not happen on other sites.
  • The idiots that are ALWAYS posting useless shit.
  • I can notice who likes each other or are real close. As well as see who doesn't get along. Sometimes there is too much bs going on in some of the posts. Especially if its a real informative post. You'll get someone who will either thread jack, flex their ego, or be macho.
  • when I get pm's and I hit the one new one to read it brings up all my past messages. Oh and it doensn't always update new or "unread" material on my Mac.
  • thread jackers
  • some days it's realy slow in new content I'm worried about burnout.
  • There seems to be a little more of a "clique" now than earlier on. Not too bad but noticeable at times. Occasionally some of the more knowledgable guys get a little smart ass in their comments.
  • Hard to insert pictures.
  • When posting pics it is a little hard to use. Not very "pretty" but who cares? I like the format of RDP quite a bit.

Do you feel there's a clique amongst SoCalJetBoats.com members?

Brad outta curiosity did anyone come up with any new ideas for new merchandise ??? It also seemed to me that there were quite a few good points brought up both positive and negative, showing me at least that the majority here think highly of this site    Great job Brad with the survey

I did not post any negative comments in the survey.

Mostly because my dad taught me that "if you don't have anything positive to say, then why say it?"

But also because this place is the bomb diggity, I will say, I miss 2Sav's project threads... :'(

Same price I paid for it. Free. Will take donations for what I got in the Jacuzzi, however, but the seats were aquired through another charitable deal so they be free as well. Need covering and padding, but I think I know a guy that can get that done pretty reasonable..........he's "stiff", but workable...........

I didnt see the survey but agree with everyone that this is a fantastic place and there's always going to be groups that are closer.  You can call that cliques or whatever, it's a fact of life.  Deal with it.

I would like to see more threads as well.  Still, a great place and I've always felt welcome here.

Thanks again Brad
