Team SoCalJetBoats Announcements!
« on: July 10, 2007, 02:15:16 PM »
The Team is more then pleased to announce its newest addition. Nick Valore is the newest member of the team with the Cj410. He recently took over the driver’s seat for his father Terry Valore. The boat is a 1973 18' Rogers Super Cyclone with a 496 BBC. Please see below for pictures of his boat. Team SoCalJetBoats now consists of Ralph Brunt (Cj812), Omar Archuleta (Cj22) and Nick Valore (Cj410)

Also Ralph Brunt (Cj812) has been working with the other racers amongst the class to put together a purse program for the class. He has secured sponsorships for these purses for the remaining races of the year. Rush Truck Centers will be the class sponsor for the Race at Lake Ming in September and SoCalJetBoats.com will be the class sponsor for the race in Parker, AZ in November. The purse will be $500 with 1st place win receiving $250, 2nd place receives $150 and 3rd receives $100.

The Nostalgia Jet Class will not be competing in the Long Beach Sprint Nationals in August, but the Cj410 boat will be on display and SoCalJetBoats.com will have a booth there as well to help promote the class. Swing by and check us out!

Here are some pictures of the Cj410 of Nick Valore:

first i  would like to welcome Nick and Terry to the team, so welcome here i know you will enjoy.

second, we need racers, that's why the purse money. as you know there has been no money in our class for winning, only trophy's that the scsc provided. if any of you think you may be interested in racing with us, just step up. those of you that have been to the races know that it isnt allways the fastest boat that wins. if you have a boat that is able to reach a speed of 72-80 mph you not only have a chance to win, place or show i guarantee you one of the best experiences of your life.

Yes I am Ralph. The Miller probably is around 50 mph and the Rogers engine is tore completely apart waiting for $$$.  :'(

This is how serious I am about promoting this class....

I am offering $200 (1 paid 2 day registration) to anyone that wants to go out and run this class at Lake Ming in Bakersfield, CA in September.

The only catch is that you gotta run my stickers

Just like a crack dealer giving out candy at the playground, you will return for more. :D

Obviously, this offer isnt for cj53, cj812, cj72, cj22, cj410, or cj288. ;)

PM me if youre interested.

Next race is in Long Beach on August 11th and 12th....the Nostalgia classes arent running though, but we are representing.

After that, its the race at Lake Ming on October 6th and 7th in Bakersfield.

After that, its back at Parker the weekend after Thanksgiving.

I hope no one falls out of their boat at Lake Ming...

WARNINGS:

Water skiers are at risk of developing an itchy rash from parasites in Lake Ming's untreated waters. Swimming is prohibited.

since ming is a wide oval, its not common for people to go swimming like the pin to pin race at parker.

i also heard the water is full of leeches.  :o
