Ya Cali WAS one of 3 states not having a flu problem. Not now, 5 deaths already. Told my woman I be OK, cause I had a Flu shot. She shot me down telling me that the flu shot covers 3 strains, not the 4th one that poped up that people are getting.

Had it for three + weeks now, sinus infection, bronchitis and a broken rib from the coughing.. oh yeh and lost my voice near the end( wife likes that part) ::)

Got the flu shot and have dodged that particular bullet but ...... Pneumonia and I were hanging out for about a month....been feeling better for about a week now, but that shhheet kicked my ass but good!

Only missed one day of work (1st sick day in 8 years)

 I should have taken off more.

....breathing treatments  every 4 hours for 2 weeks.....and my ribs FELT like they were broken.... Still a little sore .

Man what a trip this is. Started feeling crummy Monday night, come Tuesday afternoon it was in full force. Got home from work Tuesday at 4pm took a shower and knocked out. Just woke up about 430. Slept damn near 24 hours straight. Sore as hell, coughing so much my teeth hurt, never thought that was possible.

went to bed feeling fine then woke up last night coughing, dry heaving, puking up blood/bile.....then woke up boiling hot (temp was around 60 in the house) and shivering......my body temp is nearing 100 as of this morning....good lord this is no joke.

Make sure you drink plenty of fluids....Gatorade.... Water. Dehydration can exacerbate the problem... So says my girlfriend the nurse....

Been sick for a week and now my wife is coming down with it.   Can't stop though as my 87 year old mom is finally getting out of the nursing home that shes been in since getting pneumonia and we need to move her into an assisted living place so lots of packing and moving to do......groan
