Title: TIG torch Holder...
Post by: TJS Nordic on October 11, 2010, 04:16:30 PM
I made this magnetic tig torch holder to prevent me from breaking cups and laying to hot torch on something it should not be touching where the tungsten would get contaminated. I epoxied an earth magnet in a pocket I machined in the bottom of the base. It works great.

My machine is a Dynasty 300DX. To do alum you need A/C. I think the maxstar is just DC. No sure though. The water cooled torch is great. I would never go back to air cooled. The water cooled torch is nice and small compared to an air cooled one too.
Thanks.
