trying to find a 38x15.50x18
i had mickey thompsons on it but i guess they stopped making that tire in an 18 inch rim. so now i am looking at toyo or kuhmo. both are 500 bucks per tire.

so 2k just for some new rubber. f my life.

Brad, got the best hookup for ya.

look up your tires on Discounttiredirect.com print the page and take it to Discount Tires. They will match the price. The website usually has free shipping so make sure they don't try to charge you for the shipping at the store. The website has the best prices (cheaper than tirerack) and is based out of AZ so if you do decide to order them, only a day away. But like I said, store will match their website price. Discount also offers a pretty good tire insurance for life of tire for like $30 per tire. I had a screwdriver go thru the sidewall of a tire with 30k miles and they replaced no charge!!!

Anyway, hope that helps bro!

been watching CL....found some stuff....mostly takeoffs w/ 50% life left for like $500-$600.....few hundy more, i can get them for new. so why bother?

Big-O tires has these for $120/each.....reviews on various sites seem like they arent the best, but ok for the buck and get the job done.

I can get you these for $668 but you have to get them installed.

http://www.tirerack.com/tires/TireSearchResults.jsp?width=265/&ratio=70&diameter=18&startIndex=0&search=true&pagelen=20&pagenum=1&pagemark=1&manufacturer=Pirelli&x=17&y=2

buy the time i ship them or pick them up...install..etc...i might as well buy a set of BFG AT's locally....im gunna go over to Big-O on my lunch break and check out these A/T's they are offering me. i read some reviews...no one is saying anything bad about them except one guy who blew out the sidewall at 75mph.....but he also had 100k on them  :screwy:

Just a little info on the chinese crap. I manage a plant that retreads truck tires. We do not retread chinese tires at all. Have tried to but they cant even make it through the machinery. The casings that do come in I can sell to Mexico for 5 bucks. The china crap wears like a pencil eraser, if they hold up. One example from a while back guy came in for 8 new truck tires, they were a lot of money to him so he passed, and went and bought chinese for maybe a third the price of the goodyears. Didnt make it out of town and blew one. Almost to Vegas and blew another.  On the return to cali, blew another. With 3 expensive road calls the price of the tires etc, he could of bought the goodyears and been WAY ahead.  Also they have had a BIG recall on thousands of passenger tires for a defect, they didnt put in a special layer of gum in between the belts, a good reason for them being cheaper. Hell they even recalled thousands of the little valve cores for defective reasons.  The CHEAP china crap really put a hurt on the US tire industry.

I had to do this when all you guys were at the last unofficial meet.    Called everywhere in town trying to get the OEM  BFG Rugged Trail T/A in a 17.   BigO was over 9 bills OTD.   I almost died.   And of course we have to order.   Nah I need 'em now.   At 45K two of them were badly checked/cracked and one blew out the inner sidewall which still looked new.  Go figger.

Anyhow after doing the internet deal, WISHING Marc wasn't at the river   I ended up with USA made Dunlops with a 20K better warranty for about $420 for only 2.   Put the new ones on the back as I was pulling the boat to Tahoe in 4 days.   Now the front end wanders like a mutha fugga.   It was better actually towing, and it is getting better as they wear in, but its been a PITA.

I don't know how some of you ballers do it.   :screwy:

Dunlop, another Goodyear made tire. I know what ya mean Marc. The distance  Tire prices are going thru the roof. Even the tread rubber we use is getting ridiculous, price wise.  Mostly because the price ofr natural rubber, and carbon black are soaring, and who do ya think is buying the crap outa it.....china
