Last I knew everyone and their mother could go, hell it's  a public lake. But look down the middle section of the main page, not looking too good for it to happen

Last year was the first time I had gone to this event, it was pretty exciting to say the least.  There were a more than a few times things could have turned ugly real quick.  I do though want to see this continue, from talking to folks and reading about TP and his contributions to the industry I think he deserves this day of reflection.  I know there are a bunch of people who just wanted to run balls out all day and never once thought about why they were there.  I hope this can be organized and continue to enlighten people about TP instead of becoming just another day, sorry if this is rambling!

A) Why not self-police?  Call idiots out and/or nobody line up against 'em.  EZ
B) Move over to the other side of the hill where the cove is waaay bigger. EZ
C) Add a little organization at the beginning with some somber words or shared memories.  Remind newcomers and hangers on why many folks are there.

the idiot in the shitbox v-drive got called out on PB....of course it turned into a shit slinging fest.

no, the cove is fine - The problem is people racing back into the cove while people are racing out. shit, racing in the cove period is a problem. Just stupid. It wasnt a big deal year 2 (when i went and met you there with QuickJet) because there was only a handfull of us there....no 100's of people.

not a bad idea, but i think the people who would be the ones to put that together arent even interested in holding the event again. ...and IF they do, it would be a closed doors hush hush event.

lets face it people. i know it sucks, but once again, a handful of idiots ruined it for everyone else. dont be that handful. end of story.

Brad, in regards to (a) will he really be so stupid as to do the same things all over again?  Even if he shows up with brass balls shining, how can he race is no one lines up with him?

(b) the other cove is so big you could run 8 wide and still have people coming back in w/o crowding.  Sometimes you just can't cure stupid, but you can steer wide  >:D

(c) good people shouldn't let 'tards ruin good things, but I don't think my suggestion would have carried much weight anyway because so many folks come in late.

The whole thing is stupid considering they are on the only lake for 500 miles THAT HAS A DESIGNATED SPEED ZONE .

Rename the event to a winter gathering and have all boats park on back rim.
