Dave had no voice even back in the beginning. He got along on nothing but balls and stealing Jim Dandy's stage persona right down to the bare chest and skintight pants. Dave was the right man for the job out front, but VH owes much of their success and sound to Mike Anthony. His high harmony vocals back nearly every song. He was sloppy like no one else. He even forgot the words to Pretty Woman while recording it. The damn song only has 4 lines, how sad is that?
Eddie is a hollow shell of a man now. He has pissed all his money away and burned a ton of bridges. Sammy has more money than he can ever hope to spend, and is still putting on a hell of a show year after year. So is Michael, who incidentally is a very cool guy in person. Dave is still nothing but an aging balding prima donna. But he enjoys himself, and everything that is The Diamond Dave Show. I would never waste a dime to see them live at this point though. They are not very good any longer.
