Built a box for the hydraulic jetavator pump so the water doesn't get in. Nothing special.

Hooked up the hose and ran it for 5 minutes.  Checked oil. BEAUTIFUL!!!
Cleaned it.  Vacuumed the inside.
One thing I forgot was checking that wire hanging from my trailer.  Have to do that tomorrow mornng before we leave.

Looks great but how is it going to hold up against the fuel spills drips and heat? What kind of prep did it take? Bottom line how much when everything is said and done.

I did a little research before I decided to paint them because I had the same concerns but after reading some other forums people had good success following the directions on the back of the can that states for enhanced chemical resistance to cure the paint by baking it at 200 degrees for 1 hour. So I did that and I guess we will see.

As far as prep not much. I cleaned the carb by boiling in water and lemon juice for about an hour and that seemed to work great. After that a little masking and spray a few coats. Cost was only $65 and that includes my 2 rebuild kits.

About to go pick up the pressure washer and try to blast the paint off the wheels. The chemical paint stripper isn't working very well.

Pulled the cover off, found bad battery...it lived a good 8 year life, even lived for a few years after spending the night underwater.  Put new battery, fired it up.  Changed waterpump and lower unit oil, put cover back on
