Yeah i was runnin warm too, but im sure it was related to the t valve, since no water was exiting through the headers it ALL had to exit through the dump so it wasnt able to get out of the block as fast.

I got tired of doing all sorts of cool stuff for other people.  I started writing programs to lighten my Berkeley G bowl.

Figured I would start with the things that take the longest, cost the most in tooling, and yield the smallest gains (or none at all) LOL

Finally I have something to post here!  Wooohoooooo

Thank you.  I ran it on a Haas VF-1.  Not quite big enough to stand a big block on end.  :-(  We don't have a 4th axis, so we need to get creative with setups.

I am in the market for a Haas VF-5.  Also been looking at the Hurco.  Possibly a good used mill.  I really want to be able to do blocks.

11 axis?!  That is badazz!!!  The programmer/machinist needs to be equally badazz to step up to that kind of machine.

Any info or videos of that in action?

Right?

The dude said that there is literally nothing it cannot make with the right operators.

So I told him about the 3D printer I just finished the exhaust system for and he said "yeah but that is for plastics", he about lost his shit when I told him it did titanium and CF.

Cool stuff for sure.... Flusher, the place I do a lot of work for is going to be replacing some cnc machines next year, I will keep my ear to the wall....  ;)

How much weight did you lose?

Funny you mention that, it ended up weighing exactly the same as a B bowl at 19.5 lbs.  The B bowl has a much smaller suction flange which is where I took out most of the bloat of my G bowl.  I won't know until I get a hold of another G bowl to compare.  My tug boat won't ever notice the difference.

The Dominator bowls have a lot more bloat on both the suction side and the droop side.  The Berkeley doesn't have the same bloat on the droop side, so the results won't be the same on my bowl.

My current Dominator lightning program removes 4.5 lbs.  Ounces add up to pounds and pounds add up to E.T..

Thank you brotherman.  Let me know if I can help.

As far as my tug boat is concerned, it's more a matter of I really wanted to do it and it might bring in a little work.

It's really more for boats like 000 were they are already at the limit and within 100HP of an NHRA pro-stock team.  I have heard that pro funny cars and top fuelers are in the neighborhood of spending $1000 for each pound removed.
