It's a mildy built bbo I'd guess between 400-450. No shoe and ride plate. Seems to ride good maybe a little wet .

Here's a few pics of it on plane

Just my opinion but you won't have the ponies to pull a serious droop. It is also my personal preference to never install a droop without a ride plate and properly tuned shoe .

Big waste of effort and hard earned cash . IMHO.

My feelings are that it needs the ride plate to rock back on and the shoe to keep things hooked up.

Keep it like it is until you see the 500+hp mark and lose the handling.

A shoe will require me to pull the intake from the hull correct?

Ideally, yes.

I will admit having done it with a fly cutter installed on a variable speed router. But the hull was flipped and it was not the "right" way to do it. ..

Yes. In my experience, a droop by itself helps in fewer areas it hurts.  You would have to stick with the mini droop  (the short style) .

With a ride plate, you have the advantage of the ride area to help the pump push against. Dramatically improving is effectiveness.

Just my opinions. I haven't seen your hull up close and personal like.

Is it safe to assume you already had the trailer?

The guy I picked it up from said the last trip he was out on he had sucked up gravel And/Or rocks. But from what my buddy & I could see it seems to be in decent shape. So going to test it out before pulling things apart.
