Please keep in mind, this is my first boat...I actually just picked the thing up on Saturday.
So, I spent the day before running the boat and getting it ready. The following day, I wet/dry vacuumed the bilge area, then used some towels and a hair dryer to get all the last remaining water and moisture out. However, by the time I got to the lake, I must have missed some areas because there was a huge pool of water that must have come up from under the carpet.
Honestly, I was very polite with the guy (Gerardo) who inspected the boat. He in return, was super-rude, short, and told me there was absolutely no way to stop the inspection once he began. He then handed me the quarantine paperwork and walked away. Unapologetic, stone-faced and simply walked back inside the ranger office. No explanation, no nothing.
Either way, 7-day quarantine. Oh well. Thinking of taking it to the Marina just to get my feet wet. I'd like to make sure it's ready for this season.
