What did you do to your boat today?

Took this apart so that I can try to find a new grommet for it. Anybody know where I can get one locally?

Also shortened the trailer. Now I just need to finish welding it with the big welder and find a box for it.

I know its going to sound odd .. when I bought my boat last year, it has a piece of 1" silicone hose(about a 1/4" long). Doesnt leak a drop and isnt even noticeable.

I'm ok with going that route as a temp fix to get me on the lake this weekend but I would prefer to put the correct grommet in.

One step closer to getting her on the lake this Sunday. Cross one thing off the list and add 3 more. Progress is progress I guess. Tomorrow will be a big day as I try to get mine going and the engine for my friends Bahner together and ready to put in Saturday.

Dropped a lifter and destroyed my cam a 2 weeks ago, tore motor apart, cleaned and prepped, today installing new rings and bearings and dropping Pistons back in, installing new and upgraded cam 568 lift, and hope to have it all together and dropping back in the boat tonight, finishing touches tomorrow and test run Sunday

Installed oil pump, oil pan, added oil, torqued down heads only to realize i forgot to install shaft on oil pump. Ugh. At least its a one piece pan gasket

Changed fuel filters, changed carb studs, changed fuel pressure regulator, mounted carbs, made new carb linkage between carbs, new steering shaft seal, started to adjust carbs. Now to go work on Johnny's (teamwindle) engine and drink beer.

Does anybody know where I can get a VDO oil pressure gauge like this locally?

I know a place here in Costa Mesa that deals with vdo gauges but I'm not sure they are open on the weekends I'll get there number when I get home for u
