I know a place here in Costa Mesa that deals with vdo gauges but I'm not sure they are open on the weekends I'll get there number when I get home for u

Thanks. I will run down tomorrow if they are open. Otherwise it will get a cheap mechanical gauge just so I can keep an eye on things.

Rain or shine, teamwindle22's boat is going together. Carb tuning on mine after this.

They're good. Added a few degrees of timing to the bahner, a bunch of timing to mine, then tuned the carbs and we're good. Elsinore trip postponed until next week due to weather. And I guess mine is getting electronic ignition because points suck.

Joe (Flusher) and i spent most of saturday working on my junk. Joe is a great guy and a massive help. He was also kind enough to let me use his diverter until i can get one ordered. Spent most of Saturday ripping my transom cover off and getting my JC bowl off.

Yes in the Rain

Then sunday morning i was able to get the JG bowl on and mounted. Also swapped out my ride plate for the one for a JG just need to find a new cradle.

threw the wedges and diverter on just to see that the studs were long enough incase i end up needing both wedges.

My old cradle doesnt even come close to working

Spent Sunday morning flipping the cruiser and setting it back on the trailer.  Bottom is all cleaned up and has fresh white gel, now on to the deck.

My attempt at making my transom cover plates in the heat I think I'll move boat into garage for the rest...makin it a three piece with two side plates and a top plate that will fit right over the two nuts on the inspection plate. Used coper wire to get a basic shape then went back 3-4 times making a tighter fit with cardboard. 1/4 aluminum I think is what I got from shore metals and some 1/8
Plan on having a plate behind that will bolt all 3 together for rigidity. Had to build up a small section of the transom since its contoured so the plate will be level. Used this bonding cement with rubber strips that my dad uses to seal lines in the long beach harbor so I'm sure it's going to seal nice just not sure how attractive I can make it.. Going to pc it black. Any other tricks anyone has in all ears

I built a basic 4"x 4" stand to catch the stringers in the rear and a sandwich of 2"x 12" blocks along with the old seat cushions for the bow area.  This combo sat the hull about 1" from the ground so I could sand/work at a good height.  The tires were a much needed part to the rotation, if you plan to ever flip a boat this big make sure you have a bunch of tires!

Finished sanding my boat for paint. Then I was driving down the road to get food and seen a new shop that said vinyl wraps, cars trucks and boats so I stopped in to check it out and to wrap my 19ft Hallett bubble deck for as many colors and designs I want for only $650. I'm dropping it off Thursday morning and pick it up Monday. Oh and the best part it comes with a two year warranty for any thing, lifting, scratches bubbles even if I go to fast and it peels off. Covered for two years.
