What did you do to your boat today?

Back to Mcbride in elsinore for a refresh. We demolished 4 rocker arm roller pins our last trip to parker this summer. At least we had a whole summer with the motor this year!!!!

What brand rockers are those and how much time did you get out of them before failure?

It was my bad,damn China rockers think they were $175 for the set I got all summer out of them about 5-6 trips between Laughlin and parker.#2 intake valve is sitting in the cylinder blew the keeper off and there is little sparkles of metal on the top of the head. I'll be spending the $ to get some good rockers this time around

I bought these from Teague, not that expensive at $320.

I had a failure of an aluminum rocker in the summer of 2013.
One was broke in half, 10 to 12 of them had small cracks, and failure was imminent. (Harland Sharp rockers)
Aluminum has a duty cycle, or a fatigue cycle, they will fail.

Switched to stainless, and never looked back.

Finally got off my unmotivated ass and got the new block for the flatty on the stand!! Gonna order bearings and rings next week and try to get this short block together...
